• Microchips are a quick, easy, and safe way to identify your pet. Even if your pet loses his or her collar and tags, if your pet is microchipped, shelters or veterinary hospitals can contact you and let you know where your pet is.  This can be especially important if your pet has been injured, and we need to contact you immediately. 

• Each microchip has a unique number and your contact information is maintained separately at the microchip company’s database.  If you pet is reported found, either the company or the agency will contact you.  It is VERY important to keep those records current as it’s the only way we can contact you!

• Microchipped animals are less likely to be stolen.  Microchip registration will hold up in court as proof of ownership. The information cannot be changed without your permission or formal adoption paperwork from a recognized shelter.  There have been several accounts of pets being returned home months to years after their disappearance thanks to microchips! 

• Microchipping may not be a guarantee of a safe return of your pet, but it’s the closest thing you can get! It is

  • Not traceable by satellite.

  • Does NOT make your contact information public.

  • Can’t be felt by your pet once inserted.

  • Can’t be removed or changed.

  • Will not fall out or get lost.

  • Lasts for the lifetime of the pet.

  • Never stops working.

  • Is safe for your pet.

  • Works when it’s needed.

  • Tried and true now.

  • Affordable!
