HOW TO APPLY

  • Employment applications are only accepted when the position is posted during the open recruitment period.  Any unsolicited applications will not be returned. 

  • Application packets may be obtained online or in person at Sumner City Hall between the hours of 8am - 5pm.

  • An original application and supplemental questionnaire, when required, must be completed and submitted for each position for which you wish to be considered.  Applications must be received in the Human Resource office by 5pm on the closing date.  Each opening further details the documents required to apply.

  • Postmarks, faxed, photocopied or email forms of applications or resumes will not be accepted.

  • Any individual requiring ADA accommodations during any part of the selection process should advise the Human Resource Department of the need.

  • A review of each candidate’s education and experience will be performed.  Selected candidates will be scheduled for testing and oral interview(s).  Final selection will be based on the overall results.
